Liverpool eased the pressure after last weekend’s defeat to Arsenal with a 3-1 win at Crystal Palace, as Alexis Mac Allister, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak scored at Selhurst Park.
Palace had more of the ball and matched Liverpool shot for shot, but the visitors were more clinical. Eddie Nketiah’s penalty deep into stoppage time was only a consolation for the hosts, who stay in the bottom three.
Liverpool broke the deadlock five minutes before half-time when Mac Allister headed in Dominik Szoboszlai’s delivery. Wirtz doubled the lead nine minutes after the break, finishing Bradley Barcola’s pass, and Isak made it three with a minute of normal time left.

Palace created chances – seven of their 17 shots were on target – but Alisson was rarely beaten until Nketiah scored from the spot in the fifth minute of added time.
The win takes Liverpool to 18 points, nine behind leaders Arsenal. Palace have now lost seven of their ten league games and remain on seven points.
