Black Friday 2026 is on Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. But the sales start much earlier, and the best way to save is to know what usually drops in price and to check that a “deal” is really a deal.

What are the best things to buy on Black Friday?

Year after year, the biggest discounts on Amazon are on its own devices: Kindles, Echo smart speakers, Fire TV Sticks and Ring doorbells often hit their lowest prices of the year. Headphones, TVs, air fryers, coffee machines, Lego and beauty gift sets are also reliably cheaper. Laptops, consoles and smart home kit often see their best prices on Cyber Monday.

How to spot a fake Black Friday deal

Not every “deal” is a bargain. Some prices are raised in the weeks before so the discount looks bigger. Before you buy, use a price tracker or check the price history, compare the same product at two or three shops, and make a list in advance so you do not panic-buy. Pay by credit card for purchases over £100 for extra protection, and remember you usually have 14 days to cancel most online orders.
